The Tipsy Egg Corner Art Installation - Chandler, AZ

Tipsy Egg was a Midcentury-Modern concept in the heart of Historic Downtown Chandler, Arizona.

We were asked to make the back corner of the restaurant a major focal point with something unique. We designed, and created this feature with over 30 hand illustrated and painted mid century pieces in a collection of custom designed and installed frames.

Stained Glass Panels

When the architect drew windows where windows couldn't go, they needed a creative solution. 3 "stained glass" look "windows" on the outside of the building. We designed the "stained glass" pattern, made them out of steel, filled them with caulk and painted them with exterior latex. We love the tactile nature of them, and of course the fun, mid century modern bright colors.

The Uncommon

Opened for business in the heart of Historic Downtown Chandler, Arizona. The Uncommon was built around a very unique concept, especially for the location. It opened as a 70s, 80s, and 90s themed restaurant / bar / arcade.

What could be more aligned with our nerdy weirdness than a retro arcade bar and restaurant?

Here are several of the 10 installation points we designed, created and installed for the 9000 sq ft space.

Tortilla Flat Restoration and Revival Project 2020-2023

Junction 42 was invited to help restore what is not only a significant piece of history, but a global tourist destination.

Tortilla Flat is the last existing stage coach town in Arizona. The town was incorporated in 1904 to assist with the building of the Roosevelt Dam. For over 120 years, the town has been a home, a museum, a restaurant, a world class mercantile shop, and a destination for travelers world wide visiting Arizona.

We brought everything to the table! Art, design, Feng shui, murals, signage, brand design, social media strategy, deep levels of consulting, and even traffic flow. The idea being, restore and update while preserving the feel of what was there.

Patio Logo

CNC cut logo made from Walnut and Pine for outdoor longevity. Burned, acid washed, oiled, set on fire, and extinguished to rustic perfection.

Iconic Photo Op Bathrooms

Renovations meant restroom updates, so we preserved the vintage photo op character vibe (and hand painted the beloved (yet tacky) 90s wallpaper border) with new high wear resistant paint.

12-Page Newspaper Souvenir

12 page souvenir with town and area history, local nature feature, native american history of the area, full funnies page, and classified "ads" for the "businesses" in town.

Museum Schoolhouse

The museum got a complete overhaul. We designed and recreated the historic story in a timeline of seasons starting in 1904, Installed an illustration of celebrities who have visited, and created a new guestbook station.

Signs and Murals

On brand restoration, and "new that looks old" work on everything from the Iconic Saloon sign, to toilet seat photo op frames, to CNC signs, to floor, wall and door murals.

Before and After Gallery

Refresh it. Bring it back to life. Preserve the soul and memories people experience when they return afteter years.

Restoration Process Videos

The answer is yes, we can do that. Here's some of our how.
